Manaslu Region Trekking

Located to the central Nepal, Manaslu region trek offers the best route for trekkers and mountaineers on its remote terrain, long-ridges and glacial valleys. Larkya La pass trek, Tsum valley trek and Manalsu circuit trek are gaining popularity for trekking these days. Some trekkers love to combine Manalsu circuit trek with Annapurna region trek for more adventure and experience.

Due its remoteness and relative inaccessibility, trekking to Manalu has remained beaten-off and still underrated by trekkers. After teahouses were built since 2012, this region trek is possible to conduct in fully teahouse mode until you go for beaten-off path.

Manaslu trek features all the elements that wilderness trekking in Nepal has to offer. From untouched trail to exotic locations and majestic Himalayas to rustic villages, Manaslu has it all. Notable peaks includes Ngadi Chuli, Himalchuli, Baodha A and Manalsu itself, eighth highest peak in the world. People in Manaslu region follows Bon Po religion (pre-Buddhist religion) and still practice the polyandry system.

Since it is restricted area for trekking, trekkers intending to visit Manaslu region must obtain special trekking permit to enter the area. The restriction is imposed to protect the fragile environment, nature and culture of the region. March-May and September to November are considered as the best time of the year for trekking in Manalsu region.
