Jomsom Muktinath Trek is a regular part of great Annapurna
Circuit Trek. It is an incredible travel adventure and spiritual journey to the
high mountain region of western Nepal backed by Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri ranges.
This trek usually starts from Lake City, Pokhara; pass Kali Gandaki River to
the sacred site, Muktinath. Jomsom Muktinath trail weaves through the Lower
Mustang ending at village of Kagbeni which has great influence of Tibetan
culture festooned with prayer wheels, chortens and Buddhist monasteries.
Jomsom is a town nestled at an elevation of 2700m with the
facility of Airport terminal, business hub, tourist friendly lodging center and
governmental headquarters. Muktinath is a common holy shrine for Hindus and
Buddhist residing at the foot of Thorong La Pass at an altitude of 3710m. It
holds great religious for Hindu as it is eight most holy shrines of Vaishnava
related to Trupati and Basrinath. The temple contains golden statue of God
Vishnu and 108 holy water sprouts where bathing cleanse the lifetime sins.
Jomsom Muktinath Trek is great amalgamation of
alpine scenery and religious values with amazing view of snowy peaks. The natural scenery along the Jomsom
Muktinath trekking trails is awe-inspiring ranging forests of magical red
rhododendrons to rocky cliffs and desert of Mustang.
Day01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1300m)
Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu and receive by our airport representative. Transfer to hotel via private vehicle
Day02: Kathmandu – Pokhara (900m) – Tikhendhunga (1552m) – 30 minutes flight/4-5 hours trek
Day03: Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2750m/6-7 hours trek)
Day04: Trek from Ghorepani to Tatopani (1190m/5-6 hours trek)
Day05: Trek from Tatopani to Ghasa (2110m/5-6 hours trek)
Day06: Trek from Ghasa to Marpha (2680m/4-5 hours trek)
Day07: Trek from Marpha to Kagbeni (2810m/4-5 hours trek)
Day08: Trek from Kagbeni to Muktinath (3710m/5-6 hours trek)
Day09: Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom (2715m/5-6 hours trek)
Day10: Flight from Jomsom to Pokhara (900m/15 minutes)
Day11: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1300m/6-7 hours’ drive)
Day12: Kathmandu sightseeing and preparation for the departure
Full day sightseeing of Kathmandu valley including UNSECO designated world heritage sites and preparation for the departure
Day13: Transfer to airport for final departure
