Langtang Region Trekking

Langtang Region, located few kilometers north to the Kathmandu valley and stretching to the Tibet, is well-protected as Langtang National Park. Despite of its easy accessibility and proximity, this region is still underrated and few trekkers have trekked this region in comparison to Everest and Annapurna region of Nepal. Known for its spectacular scenery and mountain vistas, Lantang region is well-connected via road way.  

Langtang region trekking allows you to witness almost all the major peaks in Nepal extending from Makalu to the east, past Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal and Annapurna region to the west. Gosainkunda and Helambu is located to the south and these can be combined with Lantang trekking to enlarge the trek from 7 to 20 days. Langtang trekking is third most popular trekking destination after Annapurna and Everest regions.

Langtang region was designated as conservation area in 1971 and it is the first Himalayan National Park in Nepal. The area is majorly inhabited by Tamang and Sherpa community whose religious and cultural values are much more similar to Tibetan. Spring and autumn are considered as the best season for Langtang Nepal trek.
