Langtang Valley Trek is a fascinating trip to 3rd most popular trekking region in Nepal that begins after sightseeing of Kathmandu valley followed by 8hrs drive to Sybrubesi the next day.  The valley is well-known as the best kept secret and short trek close to Kathmandu that is accessible without having a flight route. The whole Langtang Valley is engulfed by Mount Langtang Lirung 97,246m) that displays the fine view of pine forest, impressive rocks, rolling hills and snow-capped peaks.

After the preparation in Kathmandu, we drive north to Sybrubeshi to start our Langtang trek. Langtang Valley Trekking route meanders through less-explored ethnic groups, settlements and lush forest to the vantage point, Kyangin Gompa. A day hike around the region offers the superb view of Himalayan peaks like Langtang Lirung to the south, Gang Cheenpo (6,388m) to the south and Dorje Lhakpa (6,990m) – truly a Himalayan paradise. Staying at local teahouse allows more interaction with local people to get the insight of their culture and lifestyle ion this Langtang valley trek.

Langtang region was badly affected by devastating earthquake (7.9 magnitude) that hit Nepal with great casualties. The destruction of the quake was so bad that Government of Nepal decided to close the area until it is totally safe for trekking. Destructive landslide and avalanches swept away many settlements and it took notable time to get recovered. After the official survey of the region’s geography, Langtang region is announced as the safe area to trek and some international travel media listed it as the most-to-visit place in the world.
