Mustang Saribung Pass Trek is one of the lesser-known and physically challenging treks in Nepal that links the restricted Upper Mustang with ancient Nar Phu valley via the Saribung Pass. Saribung Pass at 6,042m is one of the highest mountain pass in Nepal and it remains frozen throughout the year.

Saribung Trail offers diverse terrain to trek on and moves from Upper Mustang into Nar Phu Valley. You will pass quaint mountain villages, arid and rock-hewn ridges, towering cliffs and high snowy passes into the alpine and dense subtropical forest with great open views.

There are couple of days when the trekking can be extremely demanding, especially when the weather is harsh and merciless. You will walk from about 2,500m to dizzying 6,042m over 10 days in remote, stark and uneven landscapes of earth. As you near Saribung Pass, you will have to navigate vast glacial moraines and steep slopes. Few days of acclimatization must be scheduled before challenging the pass.

The Pass offers superb views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massif along with Himalayan peaks of Mustang region. Apart from spectacular Himalayan views, Saribung Pass Trek offers an opportunity to unveil hidden Himalayan mysteries and intact Tibetan Buddhist culture.

If you want to saturate your eyes with the beauty and your body with the sense of adventure and challenge, while taking in the stunning Himalayan peaks, lush alpine valleys, desert-like landscapes and majestic vistas, then Saribung Pass Trek is perfect for you.
