Sikles Village Trek

Sikiles Trek is one of short but exciting hiking route from Pokhara that avoids normal Annapurna trail and allows you to explore the hidden area of Himalayan Nepal, principally occupied by the Gurung community and less-visited by outsiders. This exotic trek takes you to the heartland of the Gurungs, one of major settlement in the area and closer glacier from Pokhara which lies at an altitude of 2500m. The area is major hometown of Gurkha who are recruited to England army. 

Firstly, Trekkers get opportunity to witness the culture (dance, song and festival) of hilltop region, locally produced Handicrafts and utensils and agrarian way of life that has remain intact till date. Sikiles trek is famous for snow-capped mountains including Annapurna II (7,939m), Annapurna IV (7,525m) and Fishtail (6,993m) and great views of popular lakes like Begnas, Rupa, Khaste and Maide. Annapurna Sikiles Trekking Trail meanders through the terraced fields, ethnic villages and mixed forest of the rhododendron and broad-leaf. In March and April, tall rhododendron flower blooms in abundance with lush floral and faunal species making the trail stunningly beautiful.

The visit to eco-museum that holds great ethical and natural beauty makes trekking more interesting and insightful. Enjoy the spiritual and traditional dance called Ghantoo and involve in honey hunting tour in harvesting season if you spend some more days in the village.

Day01: Arrival at Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport. Upon arrival, our airport representative will meet you and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day02: Kathmandu to Pokhara flight / drive. Over night at hotel in lakeside Pokhara.

Day03: Trek from Pokhara to Kalikasthan (1370m/6-7 hours trek). Overnight at hotel.

Day04: Trek from Kalikasthan to Lamakhet (1680m/4-5 hours trek). Overnight at hotel.

Day05: Trek from Lamakhet to Sikles (1980m/4-5 hours trek). Overnight at hotel.

Day06: Trek from Sikiles to Nyaulikharka (2200m/5 hours trek). Overnight at hotel.

Day07: Trek from Nyaulikharka to Ghalegaon (2000m/5 hours trek). Overnight at hotel.

Day08: Trek from Ghalegaon to Pokhara (900m/3-4 hours trek). Overnight at hotel.

Day09: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1350m/6-7 hour drive). Overnight at hotel.

Day10: Transfer to airport for final departure
