Located north to Manaslu trail, Tsum valley trek was first opened as trekking region at the request of local in 2008. It lies at Himalayan border of Nepal and is believed to be one of most scheduled region of Himalaya in Nepal. Very little has changed and you will be amazed to encounter the lifestyle of bygone era.
Trekking to Tsum valley takes you to into the vicinity of gigantic mountain rage of Ganesh Himal, Siringi Himal and Boudha Himal range. The valley once used to be the part of Tibet looks completely different to what you find elsewhere in Nepal. People of Tsum valley belongs from Tibetan origin where people still practice traditional culture and ritual and speaks ancient dialect. It used to be an important trade link with Tibet.
Tsum Valley Trek is relatively less-beaten and remote trail comparison to other trail in Nepal. Tsumbas have their own family life, which may sound quite interesting and surprising for others. All the brother in the family marry single, which is called polyandry system in Nepal.
Tsum Valley Trek comprises frequent uphill and downhill walking; making it fairly demanding trek- good fitness is required. The unique architecture of chortens, clustered stone houses and religious centers with gigantic mountain range of Ganesh and Baudha Himal are the major highlights of the trek. The Rachen and Gumba Lungdang Nunneries of the valley welcomes visitors where you stay overnight and attend evening puja.

Day12: Gumba Lungdang – Ripchet (2,470m) – Lokpa (2,240m/7-8 hours trek)
Day13: Lokpa – Sirdibas (1,430m/5-6 hours trek)

Day15: Khorlabesi – Soti Khola (710m/5-6 hours trek)
